All members of the BRN strive to provide the following Core Values to help Baby Boomers navigate through retirement -- and beyond:
- Spirituality: Seeking wholeness through expressions of faith that include gathering and/or worshiping with a community of believers, personal prayers, acts of services and spiritual guidance.
- Relationship: Nurturing the basic need to belong and to connect to others; Finding the ongoing answer to who we are with others.
- Security: Assuring safety and protection that we will be OK. We will help local Boomers find freedom from fear, anxiety, danger, sickness or injury.
- Lifelong learning: Pursuing knowledge, enhance skills, and keep the mind active and engaged in everyday tasks and conversation.
- Wellness: Cultivating the well-being of the mind, body and spirit through active prevention of illness with the desire to prolong life while maintaining nutrition, fitness and overall health.

I am very excited about attending the BRN meeting today!
This is going to be such a great resource because boomers, for the most part, have different expectations about aging than past generations.
Great meeting!
I posted on my blog, www.take-the-time.blogspot.com/ about BRW and added this blog to my links.
Never heard of this until today while reading the blogs of my friends. I am proud to be a 'boomer.' And I'm in the oldest group - I remember my high school graduation valedictorian's address (yes, the term "baby boomer" was used back in 1964). He was so smart that he graduated in only three years so he joked that he was NOT a baby boomer by definition.
Ha ha, Al. I am now a success. Oh, wait a minute, so is he. He's a local physician with a very successful practice.
Hello?? Leasa is this your new blog? I am involved in the planning stages of a support group for baby boomers. We need to chat.
It's great to be involved in this project! I know there are many resources available for those concerned with aging, but I prefer to focus on the positive. I appreciate seeing the core values.
